Terms and Conditions

  • If ownership of an application does not belong to a single entity, the applying entity is required to acquire authorization from all relevant entities and to ensure the accuracy of the information presented. If any discrepancy in said information is found, the applying entity shall bear full responsibility and waive all qualifications, and the organizer reserves the right to cancel the entry and/or any prizes awarded to the applying entity.
  • The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any applications not prepared in accordance with the regulated format.
  • If the required fees (eg. fee for the winners package) are not received in full by the organizer, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the entry and/or any prizes awarded to the applicant.
  • No refund will be given after the entrant has settled the fee for the winners package fee.
  • The HKDA Brand Design Awards reserves the right to use or modify entry information, descriptions, photographs, and videos provided by the applicant during registration for promotional purposes.
  • Upon submitting an entry, the applicant will not be able to amend any application details. 
  • All application, company, and brand names displayed on the award certificate and trophy shall be based on the information logged into the registration system by the applicant, and may not be changed. If a change is requested after the submission deadline, the applicant shall pay for any costs incurred in reproducing the certificate or trophy.
  • The organizer or the executive organizer reserves the right to amend any or all parts of this document at any time.
  • The Applicant declares and warrants that the Entry does not
    • Infringe or violate, or involve elements that infringe or violate any applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to crimes, violence, obscenity, indecency, libel defamation, races misunderstanding or discrimination, privacy invasion, under any kind of preferential treatment, solicitation, or threatening;
    • Infringe or violate any intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, patent, trademarks, trade names, trade secrets or other proprietary rights, held by any third parties, regardless whether or not such rights are known to the Applicant;
    • Contain any confidential information of any third parties;
    • Contain an individual or organization who did not give their consent.
  • The organizer reserves all rights to exhibit and/or publicize the prize-winning and other entries in any format at their discretion.
  • The awarded parties might be interviewed. Photo and video shooting of the awarded and merit entries would also be made for promotion via website and various materials, i.e. Awards Booklet, video at the Awards Presentation Ceremony, Publication and social media.
  • The organizer may at anytime and without notice, amend or alter their prizing policy and/or deadlines.
  • All personal information submitted will solely be used for the HKDA Brand Design Awards purposes. In accordance with Sections 18 and 22 and Principle 6 of Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance by Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, the entrant has the rights regarding access to and correction of personal data provided.
  • HKDA, the organiser, shall grant all participants a free associate, affiliate or student membership to HKDA for the calendar year following the completion of the competition. The types of membership offered to entrants shall be determined by HKDA in its sole discretion, based on its review of the entrants’ profiles and the membership requirements. The membership shall entitle the entrants to enjoy certain benefits and services offered by HKDA, as determined by HKDA in its sole discretion.
